Position Vacant – Sales, Insurance Sales & Claims, HR & Workplace Health and Safety
Caloundra Removals & Storage is a trusted, family-owned Sunshine Coast business with a strong reputation for delivering professional moving and storage services.
We’re looking for an energetic, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, and helping customers protect their belongings with the right transit & in store insurance.
This is a diverse, office-based role where you’ll play a key part in driving sales, supporting our customers throughout their move, coordinating insurance, and assisting with Human Resources and Workplace Health & Safety administration.
About the Role
As an integral member of our office team, you will:
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and convert them into confirmed removal and storage bookings.
- Prepare accurate quotations and proactively follow up to maximise sales opportunities.
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial enquiry through to completion of the move.
- Promote the benefits of transit insurance, explain available cover options, and assist customers in selecting suitable protection.
- Manage insurance enquiries and coordinate claims professionally and efficiently.
- Provide HR support, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and performance administration.
- Assist with Workplace Health & Safety compliance by maintaining documentation, coordinating training, supporting incident reporting and investigations, and promoting a positive safety culture.
- Maintain accurate customer and business records while ensuring efficient office administration.
- Work closely with our operations team to ensure the smooth delivery of outstanding customer service.
About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service, with the ability to convert enquiries into sales.
- Experience in insurance sales and/or claims management.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach with confidence following up quotations and identifying sales opportunities.
- Human Resources experience or a willingness to support HR functions.
- Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new business systems.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
